Russell K. Osgood  is the attorney who is primarily responsible for estate planning and probate.  Our firm offers a wide variety of legal services ranging from the preparation of simple and complex wills, to tax strategies and planning for estate planning.  We also draft family trusts and living trusts, as well as durable and healthcare powers of attorneys to assist loved ones when faced with difficult end-of-life decisions. We also represent estates when probate is necessary, whether or not a will is involved.

Each member of our firm represents individuals and business in real property transactions which can be as simple as the buying of a house to the acquisition of  shopping centers, housing tracts or large parcels of agricultural land.  We handle matters relating to title to real property and can draft deeds, deeds of trusts and various other documents affecting title to real property.  We also handle matters relating to boundary disputes and acquisition of road access whether through grants by easement or court decree.

Steven E. Harris handles most of our litigation for the firm.  Commercial litigation includes court action and/or arbitration of commercial leases disputes, construction defect cases, or any other complex business or contract disputes which require resolution through the court system.

We offer a wide variety of services such as the formation of corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships, and limited partnerships, to name the most commonly encountered.  We can form "for profit" and "non-profit" organizations for our clients.  We also provide a variety of services relating to managing state required reporting, and recording of business events for numerous legal entities.

While disputes which end up in court are usually handled by Steven E. Harris, all of our attorneys handle contract, business and real property disputed which can be settled before litigation is required.

Our firm is experience with real property development of all sizes, whether involving division of a vacant lot into two separate building sites, securing rights to build on mountain property, or the subdivision of a large tract of raw agricultural land into housing or commercial lots for sale or rental.

Our firm handles foreclosure on real and personal property from the initiation of the process through public sale.  Most familiar to clients is the public trustee foreclosure conducted under a power of sale contained in a deed of trust.  We also handle judicial foreclosures when collection on a debt requires court action to force a sale of either personal or real property to satisfy that debt.

Much of our practice involves the counseling and guidance of our clients away from legal problems or through legal challenges encountered in almost any aspect of the business world.  We draft contracts as well as provide interpretation of contract provisions before signed.  We do not handle child custody, divorce, criminal matters or personal injury, but are willing to help assist you in the search for an attorney who can help you in this regard.
